The ACHEM ASD Spring-Diaphragm Rotary Actuator was designed and manufactureded by using advanced spring-diaphragm technology and the crank-shaft and the connecting rod mechanical technology, was specifically for high-precision quarter turn valve.

The housing and cover of the product are constructed with a ductile iron / carbon steel casing that is coated with a polyester powder coating. The independent media room of the product is equipped with a Buna-N diaphragm reinforced with polyamine fabric. Because of its unique technology, the ASD spring-diaphragm rotary actuator can be used with minimal pressures (1bar/15psi) when necessary and can be operated by air, gas, water, oil or other supply media. These actuators are designed to work in temperatures as low as -60℃(-78 ℉) and as high as 170℃(338 ℉) to operate high-precision quarter turn valves where in the wilderness with no clean air sources harsh environment.

1, Large Torque Ranges
The spring-diaphragm rotary actuator has a total of 6 size and the output torques range from 15 to 3000 Nm (133 to 26550 in·lbs) depending on the actuator size and available supply pressure.

2, Smooth Actuated, Long working life and Low-pressure drive
The spring-diaphragm rotary actuators feature a rolling diaphragm design with a one piece diaphragm retainer and polyethylene bearing which helps to obtain longevity of the life cycle, exceptionally smooth actuation and low-pressure (1 bar) drive due to the low-friction and large-diameter diaphragm that is produced during operation.

3, Air, Water and Hydraulic fluid avaliable for Working Media
Because the independent media room of the product is equipped with a Buna-N diaphragm reinforced with polyamine fabric, The spring-diaphragm rotary actuators can be operated by air, water, mineral-based hydraulic fluid and with supply pressures ranging from 1 bar to 7 bar (14 PSI to 100 PSI).
4, Removable & Replaceable Drive Bushing
Based on ISO5211 and Namur standard, the product is equipped with removable drive bushings which allow you to mount the actuators to a number of different new or existing valve stem configurations in the field for existing valves or for new valve applications.

5, Universal Mounting Pads for ISO & Namur Direct Mount
The product offer a combination of ISO, JB and NAMUR mounting pads that allow you to directly replace existing Spring-Diaphragm Actuator or mount directly to new and existing quarter turn valves and to mount directly for solenoids, limit switches and positioners.

6, Travel Stops and Mechanical Lockout Option
The products have double adjustable travel stops that allow the actuators to be adjusted to the fully open (90°±5°) or the fully closed(0°±5°) positions. The product also can be mechanical locked in the spring failure mode.

7, Maintenance Free Lubrication and Corrosion Resistant
The products are lubricated at our factory during the time of production and not further lubrication is required during its life cycle. The actuators have a UV polyester resistant coating or a PTFE coating and come complete with stainless steel external fasteners which provide durability and protection in corrosive application and atmospheres.
8, Dual-spring symmetrical design for greater output torque
The ASD series spring-diaphragm rotary actuators feature an innovative dual-spring symmetrical structure that achieves balanced symmetry mounting on the valve while delivering higher output torque. The ASD6 series reaches a maximum pneumatic opening torque of 2700Nm at 6.2bar and a maximum spring closing torque of 1600Nm. Below is the structural diagram of this innovative symmetrical design.
